About JoySprout Park
Growing dreams, cultivating joy, nurturing futures
Our Story
JoySprout Park began in 2018 when childhood educator Victoria Greenwood noticed a growing disconnect between children and nature in urban Australia. After years of working in traditional indoor play centers, Victoria envisioned a revolutionary concept that would blend education, entertainment, and environmental awareness. Together with horticulturist James Hartley, she transformed a dormant five-acre plot in suburban Australia into a thriving garden paradise designed specifically for children.
The first season welcomed over three thousand families who were captivated by the unique combination of authentic gardening experiences and child-friendly play zones. What started as a small community garden with basic play equipment has blossomed into Australia's premier garden-themed entertainment park. Today, JoySprout Park features fifty distinct plant varieties, twelve themed activity zones, and hosts over fifteen thousand young visitors annually. Our success stems from an unwavering commitment to creating safe, engaging outdoor spaces where children develop lasting connections with the natural world.
Our Mission and Values
Environmental Education
We believe every child deserves to understand and appreciate the natural world. Our programs teach sustainable practices, plant biology, and ecosystem awareness through hands-on experiences that make learning tangible and memorable. By fostering early environmental consciousness, we cultivate the next generation of nature stewards.
Inclusive Play
JoySprout Park welcomes children of all abilities, backgrounds, and interests. Our diverse activity zones ensure every child finds engaging experiences suited to their developmental stage and preferences. From toddler sensory gardens to advanced junior gardener workshops, we create opportunities for universal participation and joy.
Outdoor Wellbeing
We champion the physical and mental health benefits of outdoor play. Fresh air, natural light, and physical activity combine to support healthy child development. Our park provides safe green spaces where children build strength, confidence, and resilience while developing lifelong appreciation for outdoor recreation.
Family Connection
We create meaningful opportunities for families to bond through shared experiences. Parents and children work side by side planting gardens, crafting with natural materials, and exploring outdoor spaces together. These quality moments strengthen family relationships while building treasured memories that grow alongside the plants we nurture.
